Designers and builders try to add transparency and fineness to new construction objects and to objects of reconstruction as well. Translucent facade is especiallu popular in construction of administrative buildings and trade centers.

Modern translucent facades
Modern translucent facades are a two-stage model, which includes lower, technical module with heating, cooling and ventilation equipment, and upper module, fully or partially translucent, with opening system, system of sun protection and with photogalvanic cells for power generation.
Main functions of modern translucent facades:
- natural lighting;
- generation of heat and power energy;
- protection from sun and other atmospheric impacts;
- sound insulation;
- heating, cooling and ventilation.
Innovation systems for translucent facades
Microplates. To provide comfortable living and working conditions it is necessary that the temperature in the room does not exceed 26 degrees Celsius. At the same time it is necessary to protect working place from direct sunrays. Traditionally there are exterior jalousie used for this purpose as it is the most effective way to control penetration of light into the room. But so-called lamellas are not able to resist wind load, they are exposed to dirtying and have large exterior boxes. For this reason there are filigree microplates used in modern translucent facades, which resist large wind loads, have compact size and provide shading.
Solar collectors.
In modern translucent facades there are integrated elements with translucent collectors used. Module generating power energy consists of ten separate photo cells located in the structure of insulating glass unit. Thus, the building with translucent facade turns into power station, and is able to satisfy own needs in power energy.
Mountable opening elements. A new product among opening elements for translucent facades is horizontally sliding windows, and rotating windows which open outside with the help of electric motor.
Engineering systems. In modern translucent facadesventilation devices have individual control and they are compactly located in technical modules in the floor deck zone. If compared to systems of central ventilation which require additional power inputs, compact location of the main engineering systems in the technical module provides additional arguments in favour of this concept.
