Facade paint, facade plastering and painting. Decorative facade plaster.
Durable and attractive coating of building facades is one of foreground tasks in construction. Uniqueness of the building is created to the large extent at the expense of colour scheme, with different variants of decoration.
Limewater colours
Limewater colouts is the oldest kind of paint, that is why it is currently used only at historical objects and for painting historical monuments. This type of facade paint has maximal coefficient with little water-repellent capacity. Disadvantage of limewater colours is short period of storage and limited colour range.
Silicate paints
The main component of silicate paints is liquid water potash glass. Such paints are used on plastering with large concentration of lime; in this case coating plus using this materual is strongly fixed to the bottom layer.
Acrylic colours
Acrylic colours are made on the basis of different sorts of acrylic polymer. At the moment they are the most popular due to universality of their use, their durability and wide colour range. Acrylic colours are corrent technological solution for painting of reinforced concrete structures where reinforcement corrosion is accelerated under strong impact of carbon dioxide.
Silicone paints
Silicone paints are the last development stage of facade paints. Binding agent for this material is silicon compound. Colour range of silicon paints is inferior to the colour range of acrylic colours, but it has wider spectrum than silicate ones. Due to this advantage silicone paints are used in finishing of old lime plasters and monolithic concrete surfaces as well.
Decorative facade plasters
Decorative "vermiculation" plaster
Filler of decorative "vermiculation" plaster is stones which do not create any design, and which level small surface roughness. One doesn’t need any special skills for laying such decorative plaster.
Modelling plaster
Modelling plaster is fine-grained plaster with the help of which one can create a 3-D image, which gives wide possibilities for ornamental decoration of facades.
Besides, decorative facade plasters can be classified by the type of binding agent (mineral, silicate, acrylic, silicone), by the size of grain (1 mm, 2 mm, 3 mm etc.) and by condition of material in the pack (dry mix, ready to use mix).
